Classic Radio Theatre

Do you remember the days before television when families gathered around their radio to listen to plays, stories and songs?

PROBABLY NOT. Too bad, it was a great era. But…. We’re bringing it back!

Please join us for one of our Sunday afternoon performances for a stroll back in time to the golden days of radio, performed live at the intimate ACTS Theatre!

The afternoon begins with hot and cold hors d’oeuvres and light beverages at 2:30 PM. The radio “broadcast” begins at 3:00 pm with one intermission, during which beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served again.

Performed live by some of Oklahoma’s best character actors, each show will present a different selection of material, complete with commercials!.

Scripts will be chosen from many different radio shows, from the 1930’s to the 1960’s including The Lone Ranger, The Burns and Allen Show (George and Gracie), It Pays To Be Ignorant, X Minus One, LUX Radio Theatre, Life Of Riley, Our Miss Brooks, Ozzie and Harriett, The Philadelphia Story, Abbot & Costello, Flash Gordon, The Green Hornet, Fibber McGee and Molly, 5 Minute Mysteries, Jack Benny, Mercury Radio Theatre, Sherlock Holmes, and many others.

Each show will contain a mixed selection of comedy, drama, sci-fi, mystery, westerns, etc. and, of course, the fabulous commercials of days gone by.

Admission price is $25 per person, which includes all hors d’oeuvres and drinks. Beverages include soft drinks, wine, and beer. Attendance is by advance ticket purchase only. Tickets can be purchased below.

Seating is limited, so please purchase your tickets early.
